What Is a CBCT Machine?

CBCT stands for Cone-beam (or Conebeam) Computed Tomography. It takes highly detailed, three-dimensional images that provide much more information than a standard digital X-Ray. For example, instead of just producing images of the bones and teeth, it also shows nerves and connective tissues.

What Happens During a Scan?

Then, a member of our team will position you in the machine. You must stay as still as possible during the scan, which may take anywhere from a few seconds to one minute or so. Immediately after the scan, Dr. Hegazin will be able to view your results and get to work on planning your treatment.
